Soleimani and Iran: Who is the Terrorist?
His body has been ripped and torn
Exposing us to a literal shit-storm.
And yes, he killed Americans
But do we dare ask why?
In 1953
Iran had a democracy
Which Kermit Roosevelt and the CIA
Replaced with the shah’s tyranny
And freedom for the US to control
Iran’s bountiful oil
And after the revolution
Came Saddam Hussein.
Gulf war One was in the 80s
WE silently backed Iraq
In the brutal Iran-Iraq war
A million Iranians perished
A number beyond belief
Our backing Saddam forced Iran to sue for peace
George Bush’s Gulf war III
Achieved three things for the world to see:
A million dead and refugees
But did a favor for Iran
As Saddam’s death was our plan
Which removed Iran’s enemy
And by provoking a Sunni-Shia war
Handed Shia majority Iraq to Iran
And when Blackwater contractors were killed
In revenge we saw the utter destruction of Falluja
And out of this devastation
Saudi-inspired Wahhabi fundamentalist ISIS arose
And our schizophrenic Syrian policy was exposed
We opposed Assad and so did ISIS
Nominally we opposed ISIS, but used them at times
Soleimani saved Iran from ISIS terror.
Earlier McCain said than god for Saudi Arabia and ISIS
And Obama negotiates an anti-nuc agreement
And diplomatic relations resume
But Trump obsessively attacks all things Obama
And with right wing hawks launches a brutal economic embargo war
The US has destroyed the Middle East.
We have enabled the Saudis to destroy Yemen
Wreaking destruction on a massive scale
We are the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.
But we consider Iranians the terrorists.
