The Republican Cult Meets Jonestown
Viva Death (*) Chomsky says about Trump
This is even more apt as Trump prepares to jump
Since North Carolina democratic governor Roy Cooper would not follow
Trumps desire for a crowd of 50,000 to wallow
Without social distancing in a sea of aerosolized Covid19 spit to great harms
So instead Governor de Santis of Florida will greet the throng with open arms
Despite Florida’s cases according to figures most recent
Are undergoing a disastrous and rapid 93% steep ascent.
But although Trump does not personally take Covid-19 seriously
He requires participants to sign a legal release egregiously
Holding Trump and the Republicans harmless for any infection
Or death acquired at the 15,000-person Jacksonville celebration.
And we learn the RNC with the dearth of Jacksonville hotels
Is lining up massive cruise ships as done with the 2005 Superbowl
And we know how well that might go as the infected Emperor Princess we recall
Where Trump refused entry so as to not affect his numbers one and all
With the invisible virus wafting everywhere
And despite this Trump having not the slightest care
It takes not a genius to see what three weeks later will transpire
As many will find themselves in straits most dire
Over 900 followers of the Reverend Jim Jones in an act of revolutionary suicide
Like lemmings followed their leader in imbibing lethal cyanide
The convention aftermath will be similar, and you know why
By encouraging this behavior Trump knows people will die
But Chomsky is correct Trump’s actions call out “Viva Death”
In pursuit of the only thing always on his breath
It’s winning the election for Trump knows if his efforts fail
He will lose all and end up in an orange jump suit in an inhospitable jail.

It is of interest that Trump is holding the convention in Jacksonville on the anniversary
of Ax Handle Saturday, August 27, 1960, where 200 whites brutally beat blacks. Also, Trump is scheduled to be in Tulsa on the June Teenth, June 19th, the day in 1865 that Black Texans learned about the Emancipation Proclamation. Trump will also be in Tulsa on June Teenth, for a rally on the anniversary of the Deep Greenwood massacre where 32 city blocks were firebombed and destroyed by whites and an unknown number (up to 300) blacks killed. What could be more racist and symbolic? Like Reagan starting his campaign in Neshoba County Fairgrounds near Philadelphia, Mississippi stating “I believe in states’ rights” where Andrew Goodman, James Schwerner and James Chaney disappeared on June 21, 1964, after being murdered by members of the KKK. Their bodies were discovered in August 1964.
Political correctness aside. Joe Biden was 100% correct when he stated “if you vote for Trump, you ain’t Black” as Trump wears his racism as a badge of honor to his base.
