In Iran Contra Barr used his legalese
To assist the pardon of 6 convicted felonees
Earning him the nickname of fixer
A surely toxic elixir
And a first-rate scofflaw
Of getting around the law
Barr’s June 8, 2018 memo was not a fluke of chance
But a carefully worded treatise
Clearing the President in advance
As the OLC policy related
The president could not be indicted
That being the case Barr opined
Mueller should the investigation have declined
So, Barr had sycophantic Rosenstein issue a four-page report
Concluding there was no collusion (not even a legal term)
But which Trump employed with derision
Furthermore Barr stated
There was no obstruction
Which is not what Mueller had instructed
Rather Mueller laid out in exquisite detail
Evidence supporting obstruction commission
Which only a president could evade indictment
And Mueller made it crystal clear
He could not exonerate
Nor could he charge based on the OLC
But by stating no collusion, no obstruction
And by delaying the redacted report
Barr masterfully gave Trump a propaganda gift
Goebbels knew a big lie repeated incessantly
E.g. WMD became a travesty
Having read the report
The case for obstruction is spelled out in detail
It is up to congress to complete the investigation
In is as much s it is clear Barr lied
Not only with respect to the findings, but in denying
Mueller’s criticism of his report.
Not just I, but 450 lawyers and prosecutors
Say there are indictable issues
I am amazed at your masterful tergiversation
But I am also struck
By your justice obstruct
And you are not the people’s lawyer
But actively colluding with Trump
In a massive cover-up
And it just does not end
Ignored subpoenas
Make our system a travesty.

The Saga Continues…Disappearing the Russian Connection
Using Durham Barr is investigating the Muller Investigation
To somehow show it was a manifestation
Of an Anti-Trump conspiracy
To brand Trump’s election with illegitimacy
More recently Barr engineered an assault to clear
Peaceful protestors from Lafayette Park using soldiers dressed in heavy combat gear.
Including mysterious shock troops from God knows where
Dressed in brown uniforms guarding their identity with care.
Driving the crowd with flash-bangs, truncheons, and shields
And driving them further with equestrian troops – I feel
I have seen a similar scene before—but where??
Oh, of course in the 2011 revolution against Dictator Mubarak in Tahrir Square
I remember vividly heartless camel drivers seeing
Scenes of innocent protesters fleeing.
Barr’s shock troops play Mubarak’s totalitarian refrains
As American Democracy circles the drain.
And what was the purpose of this illegal act?
Why incredulously and this is a fact
So, Trump could across Lafayette park blithely stroll
Unmolested by nary an American soul
And stand in front of Hallowed St. John’s Church
Leaving rectitude in blasphemous lurch
For an imbecilic photo opportunity tribal
Holding and upside-down Holy Bible
On holy ground he stood without the rector’s place
Obtaining that photo to feed red meat to his pathetic base
And Bishop Episcopal Church’s Mariann Edgar Budde
Castigates Trump for this sacrilegious travesty.
And Barr instigated this assault at Ivanka’s request
But in retrospect he of responsibility divests
He let it be known “I wanted it done” that was his need.
But amazingly denies any responsibility for the deed.
For his next act Barr has the Justice department drop Flynn’s case
A convicted felon by his own admission and penalties read to face
Judge Sullivan assembles a group of judge consultants to review
The government’s rock-solid case anew.
Barr is attempting in this process to intervene
With a Writ of Mandamus it seems
To take the case and any evidence out of Judge Sullivan’s hand
And bring the case to an ignominious end.
Why Barr would do this is no mystery
For it involves sneakily rewriting history.
Flynn’s misdeeds were central to the Russian investigation,
Which Barr is determined to disappear without question.
Barr is an evil man, but unquestionably bright
Who longs for a Christian government with all his might.
Trump per se has no consistent philosophy,
But is putty in the hands of Barr’s ruling plutocracy.
In effect Barr envisions a US Theocracy.
Brought in with a Cross draped around American Flag
Against all the founders admonitions
Against a government based on religious institutions.
