Greta Tunberg said in succinctly and clear
It’s blah, blah, blah, blah—that’s all we hear.
Oil and gas lobbyists swarmed all over it
Like marauding flies on stinky shit.
Nothing but a PR stunt Greta does deride
Nothing substantive that will last
In keeping with conferences past.
But substantive work was done outside
Where activists and protesters stormed the hall
Pushing for justice with a clarion call
No, the young and southern nations
Know what was not done was an abomination.
Time is of the essence
Activists know full well
But powerful forces push for the status quo
Not enough – this we all know.
Unfortunately the world is in a fix.
Made eminently clear by COP-OUT 26.
