Fire Water-Hydraulic Fracking
Thanks to the hydraulic frack
Drinking water now burns at the tap
In the quest for burnable fuels
Enormous volumes of Fracking fluid are forced
Into the ground under a high-pressure blast
To capture for the market natural gas
But Fracking fluid is a witch’s brew
Of organic compounds including a few
That are known carcinogens –
Including the leukemogenic solvent benzene
And this friend is clearly obscene
(Just Google “fracking” and you’ll see what I mean)
And now thousands of wells now offer
Contamination of the priceless aquifer
