Fourth of July Flyover of the Washington Mall by Trump’s Beautiful Strong Killing Machines
The spectacle over the Washington Mall today was grotesquely obscene
As we watched a covey of highly lethal killing machines
The President’s Air Force One began the show
Followed by B2 bombers, F35s , and A10 Wart Hogs – that much I know,
And a favorite with the crowd
The blue angels with jets so loud
Streaming red white and blue contrails dramatic
Making the crowd absolutely ecstatic
As American as apple pie
With no one even asking why
McCain said bomb, bomb, bomb Iran
Which Trump almost did with his faulty plan
But what have we done with these terrible weapons of death?
We’ve become the Greatest Purveyor of Violence in the world today,
And with our weapons of stealth
We have squandered huge amounts of our wealth
Ian Masters pointed out to Chalmers Johnson that since WWII
We have not won a single war
His response…it’s not about winning you see
It’s about feeding the insatiable MIC
And with a military budget approaching a trillion $ a year
Our enemies to us are absolutely dear
So when the wall came down we went on a search
And through the War On Terror did lurch
Into Afghanistan and Iraq countries with a rage
We bombed them back into the Stone Age
Then on to Libya– Quadaffi threatened the dollar
And soon it came to pass
We came, we saw, and Quadaffi died with a bayonet up his ass.
Then on to Syria another country Hillary sought to destroy
Another one of our little toys
And since Isis was against Assad
We let them help them with our job
Oh don’t forget
We’re not through with Yemen yet
Obama started it with weapon sales quite neat
Trump continued without losing a beat
The richest country pounding the poorest without relief
Destroying infrastructure, water and sewage complete
Causing the world’s largest Cholera epidemic with terrible grief
And a humanitarian catastrophe beyond belief.
And I guess the crowd must view with pride
Our 800 military bases worldwide
Including 147 bases for drones
In Africa they call their home
We say we are exceptional with flag unfurled
And spread Democracy around the world
The unavoidable truth is we are willing
To export to the world wholesale killing.
Yes, murder is what we have always exported
And our fair-haired youth as killers have comported
With behaviors such as rape and wanton killing
Which many to do have found thrilling.
So the lethal weapons we saw over the Washington Mall today
Will not make our enemies go away
We will use the CIA to find enemies quintessential
So we can bomb, bomb, bomb in a sacrificial death ritual.
Eisenhower with the Cross of Iron speech recognized
The cost of weapons in schools and hospitals
But although he warned of the dangers of the MIC
He nurtured it and is guilty of abject hypocrisy.
And the people today are oblivious to the significance
Of what they have seen
And they were enthralled by Trump’s beautiful strong killing machine.
