Murphy’s Law: B52 Cruise Missile Mistake

Murphy formulated it into his law
That for every procedure there is a potential flaw
A way for things to get screwed up beyond belief
And cause damage for which there is no relief.
No matter how thought out the procedures in place
Catastrophe can through the system race
In August 2007 we learn that six live nukes in a bundle
Were in a B52 placed and trundled
Live cruise missiles and were flown across the land
–Not quite according to plan
Quite by accident this all seems
And should not have occurred – even in one’s dreams.
Or rather in one’s wildest nightmares
And Murphy just laughs for he was right it seems.
