The Second President of the Confederacy
The heritage Trump seeks to protect
Is the myth of the Confederacy
The American Heroes he seeks to honor
We all traitors to America
Trump hates losers
But all the Confederate generals were losers
Most were slave owners
Many guilty of massacring Americans
He decries the destruction of Confederate statues
And applauds the Confederate flag
While the state of Mississippi removes theirs
The republican party thanks to the southern strategy
Is filled with the dregs of the slave democratic part
Yearning for a way of life based on white supremacy
Exploitation, violence, sanctioned rape, and lynching
Simply stated an abomination.
The Black Lives Matter is a belated response
To the injustice heaped on black men
And the toxic legacy of slavery
The egregious murder of George Floyd
Has triggered a world wide reevaluation of slavery
And colonialism
Monuments and statues are falling world wide
Trump is a relic on the wrong side of history.
The dying scream from our national nightmare
