Trump Attacks the Post Office
Trump has launched an outright assault
Against mail-in voting—there is no doubt
His hit man Lois De Joy at Trump’s insistence has slowed the mails
By forbidding overtime
And shuffling supervisors
And disappearing post office boxes blue
Which when last I check belong to me and you
And destroying government property–
Sending million dollar high speed sorters
To the shredders with felonious intent
Without public comment or argument
This in anticipation of slowing the mail-in vote to a trickle
A crucial feature for the old and infirm in the midst
Of a raging pandemic
These actions, had we a functioning congress
Would constitute grounds for impeachment.
