Trump’s Masterful Exploitation of Widow Owen’s Grief

Trump’s Masterful Exploitation of Widow Owen’s Grief

The Masterful Playing on the Grief of Carynn Owens

In what has to be one of the most dramatic moments
Trump introduces the grieving widow of a soldier
Killed in an incompetent and botched raid
The responsibility for which must be on Trump laid

Trump who now joins with all presidents
The fraternity of what Arrendt calls desk murders
Presidents Branfman relates who have since WWII
20 million people killed

Yes Obama said he did not know
That killing people would be part of his job
And to him what was surprising
Was how good he was at it

What was so offensive
Was playing for his personal gain
On her obvious grief
As record applause went on without relief

And Trump disingenuously asserts incredibly
Valuable information was obtained that would
Save countless American lives
But to me this was a gross diversion

Solder Owen was there supporting our Empire
But why are American troops there on he ground
Assisting the Saudi’s the world’s richest nation
Pulverize the poorest country—an abomination

But lucrative beyond belief
As Obama sold the Saudi’s $160 billion weapons
Causing misery and devastation
To the people of this impoverished nation

And to kill one terrorist 24-30 were killed
Including 9 children
It may be impolite to impertinately ask
How many of these did Soldier Owen dispatch?

Trump lauded Owen as a hero to emotional applause
But behind this is an evasion of Trump’s glaring flaws
Responsibility always with the commander rests
But Trump has cowardly blamed the generals

And this opportunistic cheap stunt
Playing on the widow’s heartfelt grief
An iconic moment eyes to heaven
Hands on here chest
Played to Trumps manipulation in my opinion
And brilliantly deviating from his script
Comments that Owen is looking down from heaven
(And has received record applause)

But Owen’s father refuses to meet
Trump who approved this “stupid mission”
Demanding a thorough investigation
To penetrate Trump’s tergiversation
